The Cypress View Lodge Limited Board held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 19 December 2018.
Key achievements over the past 12 months included successfully passing the three-year accreditation by Aged Care Quality Agency with 100% of outcomes reached; and improvements in governance and process which saw the development of a 2017-2020 strategic plan to help guide the organisation into the future.
The Lodge care facility achieved a 95% occupancy rate throughout 2017/18. This has decreased slightly since October 2018 but is expected to recover. The Lodge also delivered eight home care packs to residents in Coleambally and Darlington Point, up by two from the previous year.
The Lodge reported an operational surplus of $24,605, down $22,780 on the previous year as a result of rising energy costs, increasing staffing costs to support higher care needs residents.
President Lynne Stuckings thanked former President Terry Inglis for his commitment and service to the Lodge noting his role in securing funding for a solar panel system for the Lodge. Lynne also acknowledged long-term member and volunteer Kevan Boyle who has given more than 15 years of service.
